Crowsnest Pride Society, together with the Crowsnest Community Library, is hosting a free Movie Night next Saturday, July 4 !
See attached poster.
We'll be screening Stonewall Uprising, a powerful documentary about the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City that became a turning point for the queer rights movement in North America. As a result of this pivotal moment in time, Pride marches and indeed Pride month as a whole, came into being. It's a moving, important piece of our shared history, and a great reminder of how far we've come and why community matters.
Saturday, July 4
7:00 to 9:00 PM
Crowsnest Community Library, 2114 127 Street, Blairmore
Please note: the film is unrated and recommended for viewers 14+.
I hope you'll come out and join us! Evenings like this are exactly what our community is about: coming together, learning, and supporting one another. Bring a friend, bring a family member, and let's fill the room. Popcorn and snacks provided!
